How it Works:
After an email consultation (see details on Contact & Submit page), we’ll have agreed on a timeline and a price point. Now comes the editing! We use Microsoft Word’s Track Changes Function to make all comments. The benefit of this program is that we don’t make any changes to your text itself – you approve each and every change that we suggest. With the Detailed Edit, we also provide an Editor’s Letter, which is a brief overview of the editing process and any specific themes or issues we see you might be having. For those of you who use Google Drive, we would also be open to this as well, or for those who prefer paper, we can work that out as well--simply let us know!
Detailed Edit
$14 per 1,000 words
In our Detailed Edit, we provide you with the proofreading of the Basic Edit plus check for the following:
The detailed edit provides you with comprehensive feedback on the development of plot and characters, major themes, and overall cohesion of your work. We provide detailed comments and an editor’s letter. We don’t change your manuscript, but provide you with feedback for you to address any road bumps we discover.
- Overall Concision
- Plot Continuity

Blurb Writing
$50 flat fee
For an additional flat fee we will write a blurb for your novel to draw readers in and serve as the summary to introduce your work. It can be difficult to be objective and write a brief summary of your own work – don’t stress yourself out and let us do it for you.
Second Edit*
Prices Vary
We want you to be happy with our work and to have all your questions answered. That’s why we’re offering a second edit at a discount. Want to address those changes we recommended and see if they were successful? Have a new section you’d like to run by us? Give us a second copy of your manuscript within 60 days and we’ll give it another look.

Reading Fee
Prices Vary
This is applicable if you would like us to read prior (or subsequent) books in a series. The price for this varies, so please contact us for details. Please note that this is not a requirement for submitting a series manuscript, simply an option should you feel that it is necessary. If not, we simply work from a detailed outline you provide.
