Who Are We?

We are two friends who share a passion for the written word and a keen attention to detail. We love books as much as you love writing. We’re here to use our talents to help your work shine. With two Masters degrees and four BAs between us, we are more than qualified to help you perfect your manuscript for publishing.  Plus, with our service, you get two editors for the affordable price of one!

What We Do:

We’re here to provide high-quality editing to authors who are preparing their manuscripts for eBook publishing, academics who are putting those final touches on their thesis paper, or any writer looking for that final polish on their completed project.  We also edit resumes, cover letters, and business documents.

We know that you’ve put countless hours into creating this piece of work and want it to be a success. Part of that success hinges on the editorial cohesion of your manuscript – from spelling errors to grammar mistakes to disconnect in tone and plot – these can all negatively impact your reader if left uncorrected. Don’t leave these things to chance, let us help you turn your manuscript into a professional and refined final draft.

How many times have you read something and found a glaring typo or grammar error and gotten annoyed? These little mistakes make your work seem less polished and can distract your readers from the content of your work. With a little help from us, we can give your manuscript the professional touch that it deserves and let your creativity flow through to get you on the path to a successful publishing.

Mindy Conde

Mindy specializes in historical fiction, fantasy, and feminist criticism, but is comfortable with any genre. She is also great at getting to the heart of your work and writing a compelling blurb to draw readers in.

  • Favorite Punctuation: The Em Dash--more impactful than a comma, and stylistically awesome.
  • Oxford Comma? Yes! It creates order.
  • Favorite Book? Hard to say because it changes all the time! I will always love the Harry Potter series and the Chronicles of Narnia. My favorite books at the moment are the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness and Tell the Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt.
  • Favorite Author? Classic: Virginia Woolf. Contemporary: I can't choose! Poet: Mary Oliver,
  • Cats or Dogs? Cats.
  • Favorite snack/drink to have while reading? Hot tea or a latte.
  • Favorite TV show? Charmed, definitely. Girl power, drama, love stories, good vs. evil, it has it all! I love it even with the cheesy graphics and one-liners.
  • Favorite thing about editing? Helping someone else truly express themselves without getting bogged down by little mistakes.

Natalie McDonald

Natalie specializes in contemporary and historical romance, and modernism, but is also comfortable with any genre. With a poetry background, she can write a compelling blurb for your collection.

  • Favorite Punctuation: The Em Dash--it's so stately. But, the comma is a close runner up.
  • Oxford Comma?  Absolutely!
  • Favorite Book? Seven Types of Ambiguity by Elliot Perlman, and The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton.
  • Favorite Author? Classic: Edith Wharton. Contemporary: Elliot Perlman! Poet: e.e. cummings (with Mary Oliver bringing in a close second!)
  • Cats or Dogs? Dogs!
  • Favorite snack/drink to have while reading? My trusty Diet Coke
  • Favorite TV show? The X-Files.  There's something so powerful about Dana Scully that always reminded me of the person I wanted to be when I grew up.
  • Favorite thing about editing? Getting down to the point of what someone is actually trying to say.
